Gonna try and update this a little bit from time to time, see what happens to my character. So, my character's Tarn. In short, he's a fat, grumpy, lazy arse.
[ANATOMY]- He has a singular, constantly glowing eye coloured a crimson red. It produces faint light uncontrollably, and if Tarn is consumed by intensive emotions (such as pleasure, anger or sorrow) it will noticeably brighten. This can be used as a subtle yet effective indicator as to when he'll snap, since Tarn himself is very unpredictable when overly upset. He only has the one right eye since the left one was burned out via an acidic mixture due to a purple dragon named Umbaroth. It's very clear to see the damage, even when not that close; the burned, raw flesh had scabbed and bubbled over, leaving horrific and tender scars and a big black-red hole in his face.
Tarn's mouth is a horrific sight to behold; masses of dark, blue-black flesh make up the gums, roofing of the mouth and the rest of his bodies' muscles. Along with this a slithering tentacle-esque tongue, capable of extending over 20 feet, is kept coiled up in a sack/pouch in his throat, part of it poking out to appear like it's a normal lizard's tongue. The tongue is fully prehensile and is Tarn's main way of grasping or holding. Jutting out of the flesh are large teeth, strangely thin and common to see accidentally broken off. They're a foul off white-yellow colour, some seemingly tinted red by blood stains. He usually houses about 10 or so teeth in each jaw, each tooth that is knocked out or broken simply grows back within weeks. Were this not enough, there's a massive amount of fetid, translucently black saliva, wafting off an absolutely horrid stench of rot and decay. He's almost always drooling, especially when sleeping or during [Voldemort], where his jaw muscles engorge with blood and become puffy. During this time he becomes incapable of closing his mouth properly which prompts him to drool everywhere.
Tarn is incredibly heavy, easily weighing or 50 tons and quite possibly still climbing upwards. His species tend to have random growth spurts as they age, and Tarn certainly hasn't aged well at all; he's considered obese for a Darksteel. Sharp, triangle shaped chunks of scale jut straight out of a thin covering of scale like skin, the former being a royal purple and the latter being a black-purple. The difference is quite significant, seeing as how the royal purple, top layer of scales are far more resistant to all forms of attack as well as completely heat resistant/fire proof. The lower, blackish scales are far more sensitive to touch and pain, the only advantage being another simple layer. His stomach bulges out almost comically due to his fat, however he is not very soft or squishy to the touch. If one stands near him, they're capable of hearing a cacophony of digestive gurgles and growls, sloshing intestinal movements and guttural squelching noises from potentially still alive prey.
He stands on 4 legs, stubby and very thickly built in appearance. Carrying around what is likely to be over 50 tons needs a lot of strength, and as such Tarn's limbs are not to be messed with. As well as being very strong and heavy, they generally collect a lot of filth, particularly on his blueish-black paw pads. It's heavily advised in general to stay away from his paws, as Tarn has very poor eyesight and can easily crush things, particularly accidentally. Tarn also has 3 large, black clawed toes on each foot, his forepaws lacking thumbs. Tarn cannot properly pick things up with his paws as a result and instead tends to use his tail or tongue, which are not only agile and typically quicker to strike with, but also have absolutely amazing reach.
[HISTORY]-
As a dragling, he was basically mindless. A mere survivor, searching for food, shelter and water. As he grew he gained desires and lust, determined to feed his hunger. He attacked a small village consisting of few people in order to gain an assistant named Pharma, a white, reddish-orange and blue wyvern. After a year or so Pharma decided
in an attempt to flee. To say the least it ended badly, however he did escape thanks to the help of a red panda named Tanuki. Now, before I say any more, I'll tell you that
Tanuki had access to a magic mirror, that gave him the ability to summon a large angelic sword. Shortened, Tarn ate the panda but was sliced open by the sword. He of course
died, and stayed dead for about four days before being revived by a dark dragon with crimson, splotched wings. His history is mainly just being a crude jerk after this, not many
important things have happened. He's died at least like... 5 times by now.
[PERSONALITY] For personality, Tarn is incredibly selfish. His thoughts almost constantly rotate around himself, and rarely around others. His lack of emotional connection with almost anything, as well as the very fact that he knows he’s deadly makes him insufferable to be around.
Tarn is sadistic, no doubt about it. He absolutely adores gore and blood, willing to practically bathe it to satisfy himself. He has this certain attitude towards people he doesn’t know, being “don’t care”. If he’s only just met someone he’ll try and learn as much as he can about them to dictate whether he enjoys their company or not. The only reason he isn’t a full on complete asshole is because he adores talking. May it be him or someone else talking, he lives for the banter. He loves witty people to no end, and mute or quiet characters are the ones who bore him the fastest. He has a tendency to prefer enthusiastic, suave or happy people over too quiet, shy or awkward.
Being around for so long and almost incapable of hunting on his own now because of his lack of speed and patience, Tarn has not aged well at all. He’s grumpy when woken up by another person, and relies on others to at least attempt to care for him. Miraculously for him, various people met over time do indeed care for the chubby, arrogant creature and can stand being around him. And surprisingly, he’s gained a softer attitude towards those certain people. Tarn is in deed capable of feeling sympathy or gratitude, albeit in small and rare amounts.
[NOTES]
Tarn has accurate, long distance hearing and sense of smell and taste, but poor sense of touch and can't see very well. He also lacks accurate depth perception.
His race is named Darksteel.
Tarn has difficulty connecting with people on an emotional level, but is slowly improving on it.
He has difficulty digesting fish (Unfortunately gives him gas), and has gained an overall dislike for it. Tarn's far more likely to be found eating the carcass of another dragon, cattle or deer
He also has a distinct, strong scent of decay/rot and coppery blood.
His armour/scales are dulled in colour and don't shine much.
He's almost completely immune to heat on the outside, and his body is like a giant furnace, constantly radiating warmth. However, Tarn can't stand the cold. He hates it.
Tarn's capable of almost perfectly mimicking others voices, he has a very wide vocal range, but rarely uses it.
[PHOBIAS]
-He has a dislike and fear for very high heights, being on the floating isles is hardly something to clam his nerves.
-He has a general fear of being enclosed in tight spaces, but he can easily deal with such spaces by breaking through whatever's holding him in.
-It should be noted that he has a fear of fates other then death. Being unable to speak or communicate for the rest of his life, imprisoned forever, unable to die, twisted into something that continues to live, but cannot speak, move or think properly (Like a plant), ect. If you want to be effective, it's advised to use such forms of threats instead of simple 'I'm gonna kill you."
