These are the guidelines to making a demon character.
• Demons are housed within an infernal, hellish realm which they live in. Different territories have different demons, depending on their “level”/rank.
• The higher their rank is, the more powerful they are.
• Demons are born into their rank and power, they do not grow and have very little potential to improve themselves within their own realm.
• Summoners who cannot control their demon will be immediately attacked and very likely killed. While demons can’t grow in power or strength within their own realm, they’re capable of doing so in the normal realm by consuming anything and everything. Mostly other beings.
• It’s possible to summon any sort of demon, but the higher the level the harder it will be to both have the demon actually be summoned into the realm and for you to be able to control it. They’re comparable to familiars, however very malevolent and difficult to maintain any sort of control over.
• Often take attributes of sins or negative traits as physical features. Come in many sorts of shapes or colours, more often than not very abstract and strange, sometimes even difficult to comprehend. Some of the highest ranking demons have to be summoned with a shell of a body so they may take that form and are able to actually be comprehended.
• Summoning demons is a forbidden, highly illegal magic. The dangers of having an inexperienced mage summon one only to fuck up and be killed and having the demon run around to consume everything is too high.
